🚀 About you
At Trading Space, we support and grow two CS2 skins marketplaces and a B2B service that enables payments with in-game items. We’re looking for someone who can build scalable systems, lead all of our engineers, and align technology with business ambitions.
đź’Ş Your quest-line:
- Define and own technical strategy, aligning it constantly with business goals and controlling technical debt. Overview the implementation within team plans;
- Collaborate with CPO and stakeholders to prepare and implement product roadmaps;
- Improve our engineering culture: establish architecture principles, engineering standards and clear roles, cultivate ownership and autonomy among engineers;
- Refine main architectural decisions to ensure they suit our context in the best possible way;
- Improve delivery by changing the processes from planning to deployment;
- Adopt new tools and manage resources pragmatically: to keep our systems reliable and efficient;
- Provide infrastructure and access management so analysts have timely data in secure, self-serve tooling.
👨‍🚀 Your in-game skin:
- 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles: CTO, Head or VP of Engineering, Engineering Director or Manager;
- Led organizations of 40+ engineers and scaled at least one team by 2× (from ~15+ engineers);
- Worked in product companies, aligning needs of multiple products or business areas;
- Has a strong technical background. We use Vue, Laravel, and AWS, but experience with any modern web development and infra stack will do;
- Demonstrates initiative: examples of proactively identifying problems, suggesting ideas, and developing and implementing solutions that affect tens of employees across different functions;
- Worked directly with business representatives and C-level executives;
- Acts like a modern manager who leads by coaching, empowerment, and building strong teams;
đź’Ž Will be your boost:
- Familiarity with the Steam trade system, skins market, or gaming experience (CS2, Dota2, Rust);
- Hands-on skills in Vue, Laravel, or GitLab CI;
- Experience setting up reliability practices (SLI/SLOs, incident management, and post-mortems) or observability (metrics/logs/traces) from scratch;
- Domain experience in high-load e-commerce, Fintech, or iGaming projects.
